I don’t know if they’re going for the most confusing device name ever, or the most brick-like of the current Pocket PCs, but Casio has launched an updated Pocket PC – the DT-10 M50S:
While it looks like something from 1998, it’s got all the modern specs: 416 MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 3.7″ VGA screen, SD and CF slots, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, and integrated Bluetooth and WiFi.
No word if they even plan to release it in the U.S., and in these days of big OEMs like Sony and Toshiba abandoning the U.S. PDA market, the magic 8-Ball says chances are slim.
If it were me? I’d find a way to make it dirt cheap, and take on Dell for the “best value” title in Pocket PCs. Anything to make people see past how ugly it is.
