Way back before I switched to Firefox as my web browser, the Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer was one of my favorite pieces of software. There were various Firefox extensions that replicated the Google Toolbar functionality in whole or in part, but now there’s an official version from Google.
I’ve installed it, and so far, so good. Looks like all the functionality of the IE version is there (except for the popup blocker, of course, since Firefox does this natively). The Autolink functionality from V3 of the IE Toolbar is also present, which I’m sure will re-raise the hackles of Dave Winer and those who are opposed to this feature.
If you’re a Firefox user, go check it out. If you’re not a Firefox user, why the heck not?! 😉
