Of course, I had to see how Firefox looked/ran on the build of Windows Vista that was on PCs all over the conference. The kiosk PCs weren’t running as administrator, so I couldn’t actually install Firefox, but that’s where PortableFirefox comes to the rescue. No need to install!
It wasn’t actually very dramatic to see FIrefox running on Vista. The window borders were “glass” (translucent), but that was about it. Everything worked as expected. You can see some screenshots I took here.
I did leave this icon on the desktop of the system I used, in case anyone else wanted to see it, and maybe compare to IE7. 🙂
