Ugh. Intel, Please Get Some Real People to Answer Mail

Saw this on Boing Boing, and it made me kind of sad and frustrated:

Boing Boing: Intel’s autoresponse to “your new logo sucks” emails

Happytalk email autoresponders are SO 1998. I’m going to blog this internally at Intel, to see if we can get anyone to come up with a way to get real people to respond to questions and emails like this.

Obviously, it’s not possible to have a real person respond to every piece of email that Intel gets, but with the new brand, and Intel trying to reinvent itself, it would be great if we could try to make some improvements.

  1. Chuck says:

It would be nice if the computer can at least interpret the message and come up with a better response.

    Perhaps this would work:

” Intel appreciates your comment regarding our new ViiV brand. While it may not appeal to everyone, the objective is really to have you remember it, not neccessarily like it. Clearly, since you took the time to respond to it, our brand awareness efforts have successfully reached morons and illiterates. Please visit one our many ViiV product dealers!
