Stealing Apple’s Thunder

I find it supremely ironic that a little company that most of us have never even heard of (Parallels) came along a single day after one of Apple’s infamous bombshell announcements that no one saw coming (Boot Camp), and almost completely stole their thunder.

Almost everyone I’ve read in the blogosphere that has tried both Boot Camp and Parallels virtualization have come to the same conclusion – unless you’re gaming, near-full-speed virtualization beats having to boot into Windows, hands down.

Isn’t it interesting to see someone come along with a truly useful, timely, fairly priced piece of software, and outshine something that the day before we were all thinking was the most brilliant move of the year? 🙂
