Off to OSCON this week

Man, I’ve been busy. Still catching up from when the family was sick, and it’s summer time, and there’s just a lot of stuff going on. The Blogger Dinner last Thursday was very, very awesome. I still can’t believe how many people came. Jive Software has one of the coolest office settings I’ve ever seen. I’ll post photos/video/thoughts when I get a chance.

This upcoming week, I’m going to be at OSCON, the O’Reilly Open Source Conference. It’s here in Portland, so no traveling, but there are activities pretty much from dawn till bedtime all week. I’d promise to blog every day about what’s going on, but I’ve learned that I just never have time to do that at conferences. So most of my updates this week are probably going to be on Twitter, photo uploads, etc. I’ve set up my “life stream” at www.joshbancroft.com to provide you all of those things in one place, so if you want to tag along with me virtually at OSCON this week, do it there. I will do some blog posts, and some episodes of my new show that’s kind of in “stealth launch” mode for another couple of days, so stay tuned for that.

If you’re going to be at OSCON, and we aren’t already connected via Twitter or something, drop me a line, and say hi! I’m a local, and if there’s something I can do to help, let me know. The thing I love most about tech conferences is meeting new smart people, so don’t be shy! :-)
