  • Cory Doctorow and Charlie Stross have a history of making their books available electronically for free. I’ve bought multiple from each. #
  • @jezlyn Yes, I agree that authors/publishers need to know that making books available online for free is a HUGE benefit to them. :-) #
  • @influxx How it translates to sales? "American Gods", which came out in 2001, saw a 300% increase in sales since they put it online. :-) #
  • @psteinb Sure! (This tweet also saved me from turning around and saying "yes" to you). :-) Plus, I’m on the phone. #
  • Listen. Do you hear that? A train, in the distance. "Woooooo wooooooo!" I sure hope it doesn’t wreck… :-) #
  • Hey, you know that 9" screen version of the EeePC coming soon? It’s going to have a touch screen, and maybe GPS. http://tinyurl.com/2ce4r4 #

  • @Skawtnyc I’ve been advised by my company’s legal counsel that I can’t discuss this topic. Seriously. :-) #
  • @pixelmatrix @metafluence doesn’t it have something to do with odd = feature release, even = maintenance release, like the Linux kernel? #
  • Holy Crap! Twitter! Storm! Team! Alert! It’s snowing here at Intel Jones Farm in Hillsboro! #pdxtst #
  • @samgrover beat me to it with the Hillsboro snow report, but in my defense, I hadn’t seen your tweet when I posted mine. :-) #
  • @susanreynolds Eh, I’ve started bringing my own controllers, so I don’t have to check them out. :-) In fact, I brought Guitar Hero today. πŸ˜‰ #
  • Introducing (drum roll)… Crocspotting.com! Blog post on the origin and process of how it was born in mere hours: http://tinyurl.com/2eaomn #

  • @turoczy Thanks for the juice! :-) #
  • @marusin I fully expect to see some contributions to Crocspotting from you. πŸ˜‰ #
  • @turoczy Yeah, I’ve been toying with how to at least get Google Analytics on there. AdSense and Amazon Affiliate links would be nice. :-) #
  • @jaacob I think that’s the "endless scrolling" feature that soup.io has. I agree – it’s pretty slick. #
  • For those who requested it, or said "I’m going to go buy some Crocs" (there were a LOT of you!), I put an affiliate link on crocspotting.com #
  • I’m not trying to get rich off the idea, but if you’re going to buy them anyway… πŸ˜‰ #

  • Adobe Photoshop Express (that runs in your browser) is now in Public Beta. Go play: http://www.photoshop.com/express #
  • Photoshop Express not working for me in Firefox 3 b4, but fine in Safari 3.1 (Mac). Signups are open, so get in on this now! #
  • @pdxbenjamin Yeah, I don’t love Flash either, but this IS Adobe we’re talking about. What else would they use? πŸ˜‰ #
  • Apparently an embargo just lifted, or a press release came about, because in the last few minutes, Photoshop Express is all over my feeds. #
  • My first photo upload to Photoshop Express is stalled at 0%. Tried a couple of times. I’m tired, going to bed. Will play more tomorrow. #
  • I got Photoshop Express to work in Firefox 3 b4 – had to manually go get and install the latest Flash Player 9 from Adobe. #
  • @ahockley Yeah, pw management tools won’t work in Flash, but so far, it’s remembered my login on two different browsers, so not a huge deal. #
  • I love how Ps Express (is that how we’re going to abbreviate it?) can log in and grab photos from Facebook, Picasa, etc. We can has Flickr? #
  • @ahockley Yes, I see the Flickr/Picnik and Ps Express/Picasa alliances here. But I’d still love Ps Express + Flickr. That’s what APIs is for #
  • Sadly, I don’t see a histogram/levels view anywhere in Ps Express. Not surprised, but it would have been nice to have. #
  • OK, going to bed for reals now. Don’t anyone release cool web toys to play with until morning, K? :-) #
