  • At the Genius Bar, to see if they’ll replace my dead touch spot iPhone. Wish me luck! :-) #
  • That only took 5 minutes. New iPhone, no hassles, restored from a backup, and I’m back in business. I LOVE Apple support! :-) #
  • Now I’m off to WebVisions for the day. Presenting on a panel tomorrow on open source with Ward Cunningham and other really smart people. :-) #
  • @marshallk Yes, get down here. I’ve formed a line outside the room for your session. 😉 #webvisions #
  • The Oregon Convention Center is a connectivity black hole. No free wifi makes @jabancroft a sad, unproductive panda. :-( #
  • Thanks to those who clues me in on how to access the WebVisions wifi. Its posted here, I just missed it. :-) #
  • In @marshallk’s advanced RSS session. Loaned him my MBP DVI-to-VGA dongle. Glad to be of service! :-) #webvisions #
  • @marshallk sez ask.com blogsearch has less spam than google. Yahoo is good for press releases. Live.com is good for non-blog websites. #
  • Need to check out Snackr, a cool little RSS news ticker that @marshallk is showing off. Would be perfect for TechMeme and Digg feeds. #
  • AideRSS also looks really powerful. Give it a bunch of feeds, it will digest, and give you a “best of/most popular” overview. Neat. #
  • @marshallk what’s the gmail skin you’re using? It looks nice. Share a link? #
  • Cool RSS hack from @marshallk: Use Dappr to scrape the “newest members” of your MyBlogLog community. Or watch for changes on an About page. #
  • Another @marshallk protip: set up a search at ZapTXT for “coworker’s name” and “arrested”. May never trigger, but if it does you know first! #
  • You know, I’d say u know a lot about RSS tools and hacking, but @marshallk truly is the master. I’m not worthy! :-) #
  • Now, I need somewhere to work with decent bandwidth. I’m think that means Fios at home. Emma has swimming lessons, should be quiet there. #
  • Why is there a .Mac sync item in my menu bar all of a sudden, that I can’t get rid of? I’ve never had or tried .Mac. How to make it go away? #
  • @wgmaxon The .Mac panel only asks for login. No box. @rigeek Time Machine is on, but not currently configured (I just paved and rebuilt). #
  • @rigeek Awesome! That Cmd+drag to the desktop made it disappear. Thanks! :-) #
  • @gwalter I ran Software Update a few days ago, when I rebuilt. But the .Mac menubar item just appeared out of nowhere today. Now it’s gone! #
  • @BrianEnigma Could have been iSync – I DID sync up my replacement iPhone today. Maybe that did it. I’ll fiddle with it later. #
  • Off to dinner, then Emma’s preschool graduation ceremony. She’s growing up so fast! *sniff* :-) #
  • At Emma’s preschool graduation. Of course, I’m on camera/video duty. Hope I can get some good shots! :-) #
  • @sarahcofer To tweet from a Kindle, 1) open the web browser. 2) go to http://m.twitter.com. 3) Sign in. 4) Tweet. See? Easy! :-) #
  • @sarahcofer Make sure you check out manybooks.net, memoware.com, gutenberg.org, creativecommons.org, and archive.org for free Kindle books! #
  • @SarahCofer welcome to the Kindle club! You’re the sixth or so person I know of that’s bought one in the last month. We DO need a handshake! #
  • I bought a couple new books for my Kindle on the train today. Barely required any thought. Just, “whoosh!” And they’re there. Frictionless. #
  • @sarahcofer To type the ! (and most other special characters), hit the “SYM” button on the keyboard. You’ll get a pick list with the chars. #
  • I predict I’m going to pass 2000 Twitter followers in the next few days. That feels… Weird. And pretty cool. Who ARE all you people? 😉 #
