  • I think it is amazing that I can watch live video coverage of the inauguration from CNN, AP, and others via uStream on my iPhone. Amazing. #
  • While I’m glad that tons of people are crowding around the TVs in JF1 to watch the inauguration, it’s very loud and disruptive to real work. #
  • @lunarobverse I haven’t tried the UStream iPhone app on EDGE yet. Actually, I haven’t tried it on 3G, either. I presume at least 3G works. in reply to lunarobverse #
  • @psteinb I have meetings during the festivities, so I get to be a curmudgeon. I know, trying to work at my desk = crazy. πŸ™‚ in reply to psteinb #
  • RT @samgrover: The Ustream app prompts that it needs WiFi if you start it with 3G. (Bummer – JB). #
  • Oh boy. Just learned there’s an internal grassroots laconi.ca instance. This should be… interesting. #
  • @buckmasterflash I just heard about it. Still trying to decide what I think about it, what its chances for long term viability are… πŸ™‚ in reply to buckmasterflash #
  • Oh, finally! FriendFeed adds a Twitter importer. Find and subscribe to your Twitter contacts on FF. Yay! πŸ™‚ http://tinyurl.com/6wmkpf #
  • FriendFeed just got about 50% more useful to me. I subscribed to about 100 new people I hadn’t know about, thanks to the Twitter importer. #
  • I didn’t subscribe to EVERYBODY the new FF Twitter importer found for me. But even after being selective, I added about 100 people. Yay! πŸ™‚ #
  • And I took the time to put the new people I’m subscribed to into my “lists” – mostly around how I know them/what I know them for. #
  • @JoshProStar I used X1 desktop search/indexing WAY back when, before Google Desktop Search and Windows Desktop Search blew it away. πŸ™‚ in reply to JoshProStar #
  • Getting ready to watch the Obama biography on Frontline on PBS. I love that show. #

  • w00p! The UStream video stream iPhone viewing app is in the app store! Go get it! πŸ™‚ http://twitpic.com/14xcr #
  • Video streams work in the UStream iPhone app, including live ones, but some don’t seem to have sound? http://twitpic.com/14xey #
  • Oh, wait. @chrispirillo does have sound. It’s just faint. Nice that the app warns you when dropping frames: http://twitpic.com/14xgn #
  • UStream just set the bar for video streaming viewer apps on iPhone. They’re first. Who’s next? Mogulus? Qik? Kyte? #

  • @msjennylin Yes, the Kindle screen is as awesome as you’ve heard. Super high contrast, sharp, easy on the eyes. Very nice. in reply to msjennylin #

  • Just walked back into Jones Farm after lunch, saw people huddled around the TVs in the lobby. That’s a sinking feeling… #
  • The people huddled around the TV were watching the news of the plane that crashed in the Hudson in New York. #
  • @Jerry_Makare Yeah, I realized that “sinking” was a poor choice of words after the fact. But I was thinking it was something much worse… in reply to Jerry_Makare #
  • Twitpic appears to have been crushed by traffic to photos of the Hudson plane crash. #
  • I’m hearing on the TV that all 151 passengers survived, they’re being taken off the plane now. Also, @jkrums is a tweeting rescuer. Amazing. #
