  • Headed home from Bend through a snowstorm. Hope we don’t die on the pass or something! πŸ˜‰ http://twitpic.com/1gxfl #
  • I kid about dying in the snowstorm. I shouldn’t. It’s how I deal with being nervous. #
  • Made it across the mountains, didn’t die in the storm. We diverted to Springfield to visit grandma since we bagged our museum plans in Bend. #
  • As soon as we got over Santiam pass, it was like a light switch. Snow stopped, roads cleared, etc. It’s GORGEOUS in Springfield. Funny. #
  • @neptunegrand @jenfloyd08 You’re very welcome. I had a blast! You guys did a terrific job. πŸ™‚ in reply to neptunegrand #
  • @MCP85 We drove through Vida today. πŸ™‚ in fact, @rachelbancroft’s parents make trips to eat at the Vida Cafe on special occasions. in reply to MCP85 #

  • @aaroneiche Thanks. And welcome to Twitter! We should do a braindump on it soon. πŸ™‚ in reply to aaroneiche #
  • I’ve disabled Intense Debate on my blog, because it started blocking comments all of a sudden. And the comment import hung at 1% for a week. #
  • Playing around with @Feedly, but I can’t get the “mini” bar to show up anywhere at all (FF 3.1b2 Mac OS X). Any ideas? #
  • @IntenseDebate No problem. I’ll get with you when I have time to troubleshoot the issue. Thanks! πŸ™‚ in reply to IntenseDebate #
  • @SarahCofer I use (and very often loudly recommend) Tweetie for using Twitter on the iPhone. No groups, though – saved searches are close. in reply to SarahCofer #
  • Chuffed that Cory @Doctorow is finally making use of Twitter, sharing his thoughts from the #toc conference. Stay a while, Cory! πŸ™‚ #
  • Oh, THERE’s Feedly Mini. Just popped up and let me opt-in. What took you so long, little guy? πŸ™‚ #
  • @funkatron Ooh! Does Growl work with AIR apps now? That opens up a bunch of interesting possibilities. Keep us updated! in reply to funkatron #

  • I’m going to have flashbacks of Snowmageddon 2008 every time I see a snowflake for the rest of my life, aren’t I? #pdxtst #
  • @sumwan @sqlsunshine @sqlbatman IMHO, Tweetie is the best iPhone Twitter app, hands down. I love it to pieces. http://tinyurl.com/6fm9eh in reply to sumwan #
  • @7_7 I liked Tweetsville, and it was my favorite until Tweetie came along. Tweetie was MUCH faster at the time. But TV is still a great app. in reply to 7_7 #
  • @7_7 It’s only three bucks. Totally worth it IMO. Would you buy a $3 beverage if a friend told you it was awesome, and worth it? πŸ™‚ in reply to 7_7 #
  • @shergill I’ve not tried Twitterfon, but I’ve heard good things. It seems to be popular among the “I don’t want to pay for Tweetie” crowd πŸ˜‰ in reply to shergill #
  • @archivist08 Use this little app, “A to G”, to export your Address Book contacts to a format Gmail can import: http://tinyurl.com/5uruvx in reply to archivist08 #
  • @archivist08 Yes, as of 10.5.something, Address Book can sync to Gmail all by itself (check in Preferences). in reply to archivist08 #
  • @brady This search seems to cover all Creative Commons stuff on Flickr, if I’m not mistaken: http://flickr.com/search/?l=cc in reply to brady #
  • Dear Twitter: I need an antenna recommendation for Over The Air digital TV. I live in Beaverton, about 7 miles from the towers. What works? #
  • @gwalter @jgbell antennaweb.org is definitely awesome. It’s how I know exactly what direction and how far the towers are. πŸ™‚ #
  • To clarify, I have some amplified VHF/UHF rabbit ears, but I’m only getting about 20% of the local digital channels with them. Need better. #

  • @jojohnson I’ve been on a Twitter sabbatical. Sorry. New Kindle looks great, but too much $$ for me to upgrade from Kindle 1 right now. in reply to jojohnson #
  • Google now supports Exchange Activesync for over the air syncing of contacts and calendar on iPhone (and others): http://tinyurl.com/dh6z4q #
  • *sigh* It appears that comments on my blog are broken. Intense Debate is reporting “your session has expired!”. No time to tshoot now… #
  • @shergill I won’t be buying a Kindle 2 right away. I want one, but not enough features to justify the $360 upgrade price. in reply to shergill #
  • Syncing calendar and contacts between Google and my iPhone is working like a dream. I’ve longed for this day! Now, to set up @rachelbancroft #
  • @buckmasterflash Just personal calendar and contacts. Check out http://m.google.com/sync for details. in reply to buckmasterflash #
  • @Jerry_Makare Nice pic! (http://twitpic.com/1es9f) Now, the question is, did I have any dignity to begin with? πŸ˜‰ in reply to Jerry_Makare #
  • @jmoriarty I backed up and nuked everything and forced it to use the correct set of contacts. But yeah, be careful. It could easily get ugly in reply to jmoriarty #
  • @lawduck IMO, the Kindle 2 is an improvement over Kindle 1 in every way, just not enough difference for me to upgrade my Kindle 1. in reply to lawduck #
  • @shergill No discounts for Kindle 1 owners, but if they pre-order a Kindle 2 before midnight, they get to jump to the head of the line. in reply to shergill #
  • @gregoryleff @jmoriarty My contacts list is pretty static, actually. Nice to have it sync, but not a Big Deal. Calendar sync is yummier. in reply to gregoryleff #
  • @civrot We should put our heads together sometime, see if I can assuage your Fear of Google. πŸ™‚ Gmail+Gcal is now like hosted Exchange. πŸ™‚ in reply to civrot #
  • @buckmasterflash Yeah, sorry I steered you wrong on the Kindle 2 pre order thing. I’m going to be totally jealous once you get it! πŸ™‚ in reply to buckmasterflash #
  • @civrot You could always use Google Apps on your own domain. I’ve toyed with switching, but I’m pretty entrenched in Gmail. in reply to civrot #
  • @buckmasterflash Yeah, the text to speech is definitely the most interesting new feature. And they hinted “other mobile device sync”, too. in reply to buckmasterflash #
  • @buckmasterflash I’ve been saying forever that Amazon should release a Kindle app for iPhone and the like. Would be a KILLER capability. in reply to buckmasterflash #
  • @jmoriarty You can sync just calendar, or just contacts, or both. As far as the iPhone knows, Google is an Exchange server. in reply to jmoriarty #
  • @samgrover I used A to G, a little app that Google recommends, to export my Add. Book contacts into Gmail. Smooth. http://tinyurl.com/5uruvx in reply to samgrover #
  • Here’s what I did: Backed up Add. Book and GContacts. Nuked Gcontacts. Exported Add. Book to GC. Set up iPhone sync. Works great! #
  • You guys were right. Nuking my Gmail contacts and reimporting killed my GTalk contacts. Feel free to re-add me if you want to chat. #
