  • I tried iPhone Voice Memo screen rotation because Griffin’s iTalk recorder app does it. Much easier to aim the mic at the sound source. #
  • Upgrading @rachelbancroft’s first gen iPhone to 3.0. I’m going to waterfall my current 3G to her when I get my 3G S on Friday. #

  • Just so you all know, I keep three paid Twitter apps on my phone: Tweetie, Birdhouse, and Twitterific. I’m a collector of fine Twitter apps. #
  • One Twitter app doesn’t have to replace another for me. I’ll keep and recommend Tweetdeck because it’s outstanding software. I’d pay for it. #

  • Oh hey, today’s the day analog TV dies in the US. I only get 2 digital channels. Tried various antennae. Guess we’ll watch less TV! :-) #
  • Just recanned channels, picked up 1 more (some switched between VHF and UHF). Now we get KOPB, KGW, and KPDX (still no KATU, KOIN, or KPTV). #
  • We’ll live with those channels until I get a magic antenna. As long as my kids can watch PBS and we can watch The Office in HD, we’re OK. :) #
  • @LeStew I have a digital TV, no cable. Why pay for commercials? Lots of RF interference in our ‘hood. Makes OTA TV a pain. Oh well! :-) in reply to LeStew #

  • Played with a friend’s iPhone that has 3.0 (he’s a dev), and Safari is MUCH faster at javascript-y stuff. Google Reader is much snappier. #

  • Oh, did I tell you? Got to play with a Palm Pre today. It’s really small. Felt good in my hand. But… #
  • The webOS on the Pre felt really confusing. “Swipe Up” for menus, launcher, etc. was unintuitive in the minute or so I had it. #
  • Pre’s 8gb max storage and lack of video recording is even harder to swallow with the advent of the iPhone 3GS. Still, it’s a great device. #
