  • Managed to buy and download Tweet Reel this morning, but it wasn’t $0.99 anymore. πŸ™ I’ll test it out later. #
  • @aaroneiche 8 Twitter apps on my iPhone right now: Birdfeed, Tweetie, Twitterific, Birdhouse, Tweetdeck, Audioboo, Tweetmic, and Tweet Reel. in reply to aaroneiche #
  • Finding great new iPhone apps already. Check out Lyrical (show lyrics of playing songs) and DoGood (collective acts of kindness). Both free. #
  • Audioboo (post audio to Twitter and more) is about to get a killer feature (though not for free): text transcription. http://bit.ly/asUcl #
  • RT @rachelbancroft: Gabe yells “car party!!” every time we pass a car dealership with balloons. So we hear that every 30sec on TV Hwy. πŸ™‚ #
  • So the Kindle 2 got a price drop, huh? $299 – http://amazon.com/kindle There goes the resale market for my first gen Kindle. Oh well. πŸ™‚ #
  • Oh, crap. I missed 12:34:56 7/8/9 by *THAT* much! πŸ™ #
  • Testing posting a video with Tweet Reel on my iPhone 3GS. http://tweetreel.com/?4dhpr #
  • Looks like Tweet Reel does the same compression (640×480 to 480×360 and 3.6Mbps to 800Kbps) to video files as emailing them does. #
  • So far, the only way I’ve found to get full 640×480 3.6Mbps video files off of the iPhone 3GS besides syncing is using PixelPipe. #
  • Another thing I love about PixelPipe: I can upload a full quality video once, and it goes to multiple destinations (Blip.tv, YouTube, etc.). #
  • @unclenate Actually, PixelPipe was made for images, and does them very well. Only recently added support for video. in reply to unclenate #
  • @shadowbottle I haven’t tried the copy/paste full res trick with a video. Anyone know if that works? in reply to shadowbottle #
  • Huh. I can’t seem to copy/paste a video on my iPhone 3GS into an email. When I paste, nothing happens, and email goes without attachment. #
  • Dang it! I missed 04:05:06 07/08/09 (both times), too! :-/ #
  • @todd_logan Actually, we’ll get 05:06:07 08/09/10 next year, no? in reply to todd_logan #
  • At Bete Lukas Ethiopian restaurant for the #IP6 speaker/organizer dinner. it’s delicious! πŸ™‚ – Photo: http://bkite.com/09omU (from Bete…) #
  • OK! It’s @Whiffies time! I needs me some fried pie goodness. And I only get to this side of the river every so often! #
  • Cool iPhone app discovery: if you like Daft Punk “Harder Better Faster Stronger”, you *need* the free iDaft app (samples on a soundboard). #
  • @turoczy I still say “twoosh!” in my head when I nail a 140 character tweet. And I subconsciously try to make it happen with each tweet. πŸ™‚ in reply to turoczy #

  • RT @isntv: Come join us in just a bit (8AM Pacific) for Parallel Programming Talk LIVE. Today: Listener Questions. http://bit.ly/isntv #
  • Urf. Someone’s leftover microwaved fish lunch has stunk up the whole building. I think I might plurk. πŸ™‚ #
  • @nlkilkenny Never heard of Ozium spray, but all of JF1 first floor smells like fish, so I don’t think a spray bottle would cut it. πŸ™‚ in reply to nlkilkenny #
  • No one said anything about my plurk joke earlier. And here I thought I was being SO clever. πŸ˜‰ #
  • @k1mb3rly Thank you for the courtesy chuckle. πŸ™‚ in reply to k1mb3rly #
  • Birdfeed 1.0.1 is in the App Store, fixes my two niggles (accounts with mixed case and the missing @ before username in a RT). Woo! πŸ™‚ #
  • @krynsky use the syntax -from:username to exclude a specific user (spammer) from Twitter search results. in reply to krynsky #
  • Set up a saved query to troll for new iPhone apps people like. S/N ratio is high, as is flow. People sure like to tweet about iPhone apps! #
  • FTR, the query I’m using is: iPhone app (awesome OR cool OR great OR love OR amazing OR best OR favorite OR rocks) #
  • That query could be improved in many ways, I’m sure. I’ll likely refine it over the next few days. #
  • I felt like I was getting the “popular” apps that everyone loves, but missing out on more obscure/unique cool apps. This should help. #
  • Testing TweetMic. How will it compare to AudioBoo? Bonus ending after the 1:00 mark. πŸ™‚ http://tmic.fm/ot50zz0z7qj #
  • @jezlyn I’ll definitely be sharing cool apps I find. I mean, I do that already, but I hope to find lots more now! πŸ™‚ in reply to jezlyn #
  • RT @dhohndel: Google Chrome OS – another Linux based Netbook OS http://bit.ly/rjHTg #
  • On the heels of TweetMic and other audio tweet apps comes Tweet Reel: post video from your 3GS. http://tweetreel.com (haven’t tried it yet) #
  • Just tried to buy Tweet Reel (on sale for $0.99 for launch, then $2.99) and got “this item is being modified – try again later”. πŸ™ #
  • @TweetReel I’m headed to bed, will try again in the AM. Will let you know if I can repro. Looking forward to trying the app! πŸ™‚ in reply to TweetReel #

  • I have 178 iPhone apps (but only 25 or so installed on my phone). That’s a lot of apps. #
  • @adamd That’s a good question. I can’t see an easy way to get iTunes to show me free vs. paid. I’d guess I’ve paid for 25-30% of them. in reply to adamd #

  • At the Hillsboro 4th of July parade. It’s still nice and cool in the shade, and I have a supar sekrit strategy to stay in the shade… πŸ™‚ #
  • Man, the Hillsboro parade is a LOT more crowded than in years past. I don’t even know if my kids can crowd to the curb to catch candy. #
  • Low key afternoon and evening. Naps, dinner, then a drive around the countryside. AC full blast, can’t feel my nose. Love it. πŸ™‚ #
  • No fireworks for us, but our neighbors always do tons of loud illegal ones, so hey. #
  • Call me a curmudgeon, but some of these fireworks are illegal for a reason. #getoffmylawn #dontburndownmyhouse #thatwasabombnotafirework #
  • @k1mb3rly I called the cops last year (it was nuts here). They said “it’s the 4th of July. Deal with it.” Not enough cops to even deter… in reply to k1mb3rly #
  • The only ones that really bug me are the ones that go up, then blinding-flash-deafening-boom. Those are too much for this suburban dad. #
  • Oh well. Maybe I should just lighten up. With that, I’m going to bed. G’night Twitter! #

  • @turoczy I am SO buying some of those! Do they come in orange? πŸ˜‰ in reply to turoczy #
  • Oh, man! The little holder ring just broke off my beverage container, and it dropped to the floor, spewing Mt Dew everywhere. Oops. πŸ™ #
  • @harrisja Thanks, Mom! πŸ˜‰ in reply to harrisja #
  • @canine @harrisja Mt Dew “geek teeth” is on my list of ways I don’t take very good care of myself, but it’s pretty far down there… πŸ™‚ in reply to canine #
  • @jschultz I wasn’t quick enough on the draw with my iPhone to capture video/pics of the Mt Dew Vesuvius, but it was impressive. πŸ™‚ in reply to jschultz #
  • Signs you are an addict: You see “All Apps Are Up to Date” multiple times per day, and it makes you sad. πŸ™‚ #
  • @edmistond I just open the App Store on my iPhone and go to Updates. I get excited when a little red circle with a number appears! πŸ™‚ in reply to edmistond #
  • Woo hoo! Club Nintendo Elite Status! I wonder what the little prize will be? Hope it’s as cool as some of the stuff they’ve done in Japan. #
  • Remember runpee.com, that site that tells you when to take a pee break at the movies? It’s an iPhone app now. I totally just bought it. πŸ™‚ #
  • I am on the horns of a dillemma. My stomach and I are in Beaverton. @Whiffies and their fried pies are on 12th and Hawthorne. What to do… #

  • Feeding cracker crumbs to @rachelbancroft’s chickens. They’re pretty much full size now. And hilarious. And stinky. πŸ™‚ #
